Hosting Reel & Bio

Me on the red carpet at the pan african film festival

Early on Stephanie began her hosting career with the local San Diego based cable network Cox Communications. It was a one hour music video show with a co-host, and it was called The Dimension Video Explosion.  It was a high energy music video program featuring music videos on the charts as well as old school tunes. The show’s co-host departed, and the show was re-branded and called The Jam Factory. It became a half hour program which featured an in studio DJ. Stephanie wrote segments for the show and interviewed talent on camera.

The viewers got to see nationally recognized talent, as well as artists that were on their way to the top but not being shown on major leading networks at the time. The show would also give local musicians a unique opportunity to be showcased. The Jam Factory in all 113 episodes would go on to be seen by nearly 500,000 viewers.

Stephanie is currently working freelance as an Entertainment host, and content writer. Most recently for Press Pass LA.com where she interviews celebrities at award shows, movie and tv premiere’s, film festivals, gift suites as well as various entertainment events. She has nearly 400 plus interviews to her credit. She is also currently an on air host for AfterBuzzTV’s aftershows. She is also the host, writer, and content creator for the culture/lifestyle web series “On the Move with Stephanie Garrett”, and The web series “Keeping it Crafty” which is airing on YouTube. She is also a trained actress as well as a jewelry designer for LilaroseJewelry.~
